Ideal for backcountry touring or in-bounds skiing the Brede is fashioned with a myriad of ski-friendly features ranging from its internal Recco reflector to its hip belt and harness friendly pockets. In addition to its ski-specific constitution the Brede caters to a variety of cold-weather adventures and is a direct result of the guidance and feedback from various guides climbers and sled dog mushers. Built with the three-layer Culton Super Stretch fabric Duracoat Icebreaker ripstop material and critically taped seams this jacket is both durable and waterproof thanks to its PFOA and fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment while the reinforcement panels and strategically placed interior fabric protects the membrane and exterior fabric from premature degradation. However should you begin to heat up on your journey the Brede is equipped with a two-way front zipper and underarm ventilation that encourages ample body temperature regulation. Additionally the front zipper doubles as a whistle in the event that you require help. And unique to the Brede is the Klattermusen Windvisor: an integral part of the hoods gasket system that offers shield-like protection from wind and frostbite. The hood is fully adjustable and is helmet compatible.
