In order to keep the jacket light and exceptionally waterproof Patagonia integrated welded seams with narrow seam taping and added watertight zips to ensure burly protection against wind-driven and intense precipitation.
The hood fits comfortably over a climbing helmet and features a single-pull adjustment for one-handed cinching and it can be stowed away when youre on the move so it doesnt flap behind you like the sail of an alpine schooner. You can store the M10 in its own chest pocket and throw it in your pack or clip it to your harness via the carabiner loop on those rare occasions when the skies turn clear and winds die down and cinch up the drawcord hem and hook-and-loop cuffs when things get blustery again in oh about 30 seconds.
