Aero road helmets are all the rage and Catlike wasnt going to be left with the grupetto. It took its highly successful Mixino Helmet and redefined it into the cutting-edge wind-cheating Mixino VD2.0 -- all the features of the original just faster. Catlike is best known for its high protection standards and the Mixino VD2.0 doesnt disappoint. It was designed to the exact specifications as the original. To begin with it is formed using In-Mold technology -- the inner and outer shell of the helmet are molded to become one piece not merely glued onto each other. This increases crash resistance and diffusion of energy should a crash occur. The helmet was designed with Low Nape Protection so that your occipitals are protected in the event of an accident. What sets the Mixino even further apart from its competitors is a combination of an ARC roll Cage and Graphene Nano-fibers. The roll cage is an internal structure made from Aramid fibers. In case these fibers sound vaguely familar they have been used in the aerospace industry. They have been used in conjunction with Graphene fibers to keep weight to a minimum while maximizing protection. Catlike used replaceable Outlast pads on the interior for impressive comfort. These pads use NASA-developed Phase Change Materials PCM which actually store and release heat as needed to help regulate body temperature. Holding the Mixino VD2.0 tightly on your noggin is Catlikes eVo retention system. This utilizes horizontal and vertical pads that are adjusted with micro-wheels as well as customizable padding on the side wings of the helmet. Now to increase aerodynamic efficiency Catlike covered the honeycomb venting with a solid shell. The impressions of the vents reveal themselves on the exterior of the shell so you wont be stuck with a generic-looking bowl on your head. Air passes cleanly over the helmet saving watts.
